“Art ‘cannot stand in competition with nature’, Hegel once wrote,
‘and if it tries it looks like a worm trying to crawl after an elephant’.”
My practical work focuses on using fine liner pens to showcase life within nature. My main focus is on flowers and how their beauty shines every day; each individual species of flowers is unique and special to their own way and my practice is showing that. I always liked using line art to create my works, it allows me as an artist to try different ways of using it.
The abundance of life within nature is special and for each passing day, new discoveries are found among the life that we call nature.
Yn fy ngwaith rwy’n defnyddio pinnau leiner main a dyfrlliw i ddangos bywyd y blodau. Mae natur yn gyffredinol bob amser wedi fy rhyfeddu, ac rwyf am i’m gwaith celf alluogi pobl i weld ochrau eraill y blodau y mae pawb yn eu hadnabod. Mae’n fy helpu i fel artist i’w deall yn well o safbwynt gwahanol.
